Mariateresa Veltri was a speaker at EDULOG 2025, held in Porto on 22 and 23 May.
She presented her latest research study on University Sponsorship for Refugee Students, developed within the framework of the COSME project. Her work explored how higher education institutions can actively support displaced students worldwide, providing not only access to education but also genuine opportunities for socio-economic integration.
The event provided a unique occasion to share national insights, experiences, and inspiring stories highlighting the transformative power of education for refugee communities, and emphasizing the added value of an EU reference framework.
This year’s edition, organized by the Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation, was an exceptional gathering of education leaders, researchers, and innovators from around the world, focusing on how education can address future challenges.
