The Final Conference of the Research Project of Relevant National Interest (PRIN) 2/2022 on
“Community Sponsorship for Migrants in Europe” (CoSME)
will take place on 24–25 November 2025 in the Rectorate's Great Hall (Aula Magna) at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, Italy.
The Conference, entitled “Towards a Genetic Transformation of Asylum? Legal Pathways and Community Sponsorship: Between Protection and Containment”, comprises three thematic sessions dedicated to the case studies explored by PRIN CoSME, two keynote speeches (by Elspeth Guild, University of Liverpool, and Paula Garcia Andrade, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), a session hosting the launch of the CoSME book, as well as an institutional brainstorming with representatives from the European Union Asylum Agency and national/international stakeholders.
The Conference will also host two associated initiatives: a Multistakeholder Roundtable on Community Sponsorship organised by the
AMIF Share QSN Plus project,
and a Digital Exhibition entitled “Women Who Move: A Tribute to Women’s Strength on 25/11”.

Students enrolled on the Master's Degree Programmes in Law and Security and Human Rights at DIKE will receive 2 ECTS for participating.
The Viterbo Bar Association has accredited the event, granting 4 credits in Public and Immigration Law to participating lawyers.

si svolgerà il 24–25 novembre 2025 presso l'Aula Magna del Rettorato dell’Università degli Studi della Tuscia a Viterbo.
La Conferenza Internazionale CoSME prevede tre sessioni tematiche dedicate ai casi di studio del PRIN CoSME, due interventi principali (di Elspeth Guild, University of Liverpool, e Paula Garcia Andrade, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), una sessione dedicata al lancio del volume CoSME, nonché un brainstorming istituzionale con rappresentanti della European Union Asylum Agency e di istituzioni nazionali e internazionali.
La conferenza ospiterà due iniziative collaterali: una tavola rotonda multistakeholder sul Community Sponsorship, organizzata nell’ambito del
progetto AMIF Share QSN Plus, e una mostra digitale
intitolata “Women Who Move: A Tribute to Women’s Strength on 25/11”, in occasione della Giornata internazionale per l’eliminazione della violenza contro le donne.
Per partecipare, è necessario registrarsi entro il
20 novembre 2025.
La partecipazione all’intero evento conferisce 2 CFU agli studenti dei corsi di laurea in Giurisprudenza e Security and Human Rights.
L’evento è accreditato presso l’Ordine degli Avvocati di Viterbo, che riconosce 4 crediti formativi in diritto pubblico e dell’immigrazione.
